I have now, at last, had a gas bill! From April - Oct 2006 my bill was £55. The previous 3 years for that period bills were between £120 and £130 each year.
Remember the panels weren't installed till June 2006
I am now about to start on photo-voltaic panels for electricity! More on this later as I am still negotiating the contract

Eve, have been following this blog since you started it and today came very close to buying from "Solar Home Energy". We were told that they use "Fourth Generation" solar panels, which he claimed were more efficient than previous and did not require sunlight to function.
The price he was quoting for 2 panels and a 160 litre tank was £9424 which seemed excessive.
What company did you buy yours' from and can I be rude and ask what you paid?
